I fell in love with the game of volleyball at an early age and have been around the sport for my entire life.
I graduated from Colony High School in 2005 where I played volleyball all 4 years including 3 on varsity, being region champions my senior year, placing second and third place at state, and receiving the Most Valuable Player of the region my senior year. After high school, I was on the volleyball team at Eastern Washington University; however, I decided to focus on my studies which culminated in earning my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences.
I have been coaching/helping with the ACE volleyball program for the past 8 years as well as coaching Colony High School’s JV team last season. I enjoy teaching players to love the game of volleyball and develop skills using physical therapy based motor learning techniques. More than anything else, I believe it is important to teach young ladies the life lessons of competitive sports including teamwork, grace in winning as well as in defeat, and developing the grit needed to succeed in life. When not coaching volleyball, I work with students with special needs and enjoy playing with my nephews, niece, and puppy.
